Program: The retreat starts on Thursday 9th from 16:00 and will end at 13:00 on Easter Sunday. Includes yoga practices and activities on nature
Subject: The basic principle of yoga therapy is that illnesses are symptoms of body and mind imbalances and therefore the goal is to restore the balance of the human system. According to Krishnamacharya (the father of modern yoga), Prāṇāyāma, Bandhas and Mudrās are of absolute necessity for the free circulation of Prāṇa and the blood circulation itself. The main function of the Mudrās is to make the different types of Prāṇa move freely through the Nadīs or energy channels, preventing many diseases. While the Mudrās channel the flow of Prāṇa, the Bandhas block the flow so to accumulate it in certain areas of the body, and channel it to enter the central channel with the intention of spiritual awakening.
During the workshop, we will explore these tools in depth and how to apply them during āsana, prāṇāyāma and meditation.
